Massage therapy provides pain relief, relaxation and relief from anxiety. Massage therapy programs

In addition to the two programs listed below, we offer single class enrollment, providing continuing education credits (CECs) to experienced massage therapists, nurses and  other professionals who want to learn new techniques or enhance their skills.

  • Associate in Applied Science in Massage Therapy (AAS)
  • Massage Therapy Diploma

A full-time student will complete the AAS degree in 18 months or the diploma in 12 months. Courses include training in the following basic and advanced massage techniques:

  • Swedish Massage
  • Pregnancy/Special Populations Massage
  • Myofascial Release
  • Hot Stone Massage
  • Sports Massage
  • Introduction to Thai/Energy Work
  • Anatomy
  • Kinesiology
  • Deep Tissue/Trigger Point Massage

Students in the AAS program also take general education courses that strengthen their communication skills and prepare them to work with diverse populations. An externship provides hands-on practice.

Certification

Certification shows employers and clients that a massage therapist has met rigorous standards of knowledge and practice. Graduates of our massage therapy school are eligible to take various exams, including:

  • The National Certification Exam of Therapeutic Massage (NCETM) provided by National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB)
  • Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx) provided by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) 

They may be eligible for reimbursement of exam costs through our Professional Certification Scholarship.

Graduates may also become members of professional organizations such as American Massage Therapy Association and Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
