Accounting programs
We offer four accounting degree and diploma programs, preparing students for careers in all types of organizations and all levels of responsibility:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting. Earn a BS degree in three years of full-time study. Graduates are ready for careers in private, public and governmental accounting. Areas of responsibility include general ledger, payroll, financial analysis, audit and tax preparation. Graduates are eligible to sit for various accounting certification exams, including, n some states, the CPA examination.
Associate of Applied Science in Management Accounting. Students learn accounting essentials and prepare to work in corporate environments. Read more.
Associate of Applied Science in Accounting and Tax Specialist. In addition to courses included in the Management Accounting program, students take courses in taxation. Read more.
Accounting Diploma. The 12-month diploma program is excellent preparation for entry-level positions in bookkeeping and accounting. Graduates work in positions such as the following:
- Bookkeeper
- Payroll clerk
- Accounts payable/receivable clerk
- General clerk
- Bank teller
Most credits from the Accounting Diploma program will transfer smoothly to our associate in accounting and bachelor’s in accounting programs.
Online options
All accounting programs are available through our online division as well as on campus. Students are able to study whenever they have access to the Internet — early mornings, weekends or late at night.
