Career development class

All students at Globe University complete a career development class toward the end of their programs. In the course they prepare for their job searches, learning how to write resumes and application letters, practicing interviewing techniques and developing career-planning strategies—the tools they need for successful job searches.

Career workshops

Preparation and knowledge are key elements to a successful job search. Throughout the year, career services staff members offers workshops on specific topics such as resumes, thank-you letters and interviewing techniques. We also provide handouts, tip sheets and assist students in identifying job postings. Our students and graduates have the resources they need to find rewarding positions.

Job fairs

Job fairs are an important feature of our career services programs. Our La Crosse college arranges for employer visits to campus at least twice a year. Students have opportunities to meet employers, present their their resumes and find out who is hiring. Our staff networks with local employers to ensure that they know about our job-specific programs and provides employers with access to our students’ resumes.

Personal coaching

Our staff members are available to meet individually with students about their job searches. They can conduct mock interviews or arrange for practice sessions with employers in a student’s field. They review student resumes, notify them about job openings and ensure that employers know about students who are particularly suited to their organizations.
